What is it?
The Mizzou Alumni Association encourages all Mizzou alumni and friends to participate. The purpose is to:
Ø Thank legislators for their support of the University of Missouri.
Ø Advocate for future support of Missouri’s Flagship University and seek support for the 2008 Mizzou Alumni Association legislative platform.

Where is it? Capitol Rotunda, Jefferson City
What Happens?
7:30-10 a.m. Registration (First Floor Rotunda)
7:30-9 a.m. Friends of Mizzou and MU Extension continental breakfast for attendees, legislators and staff (Senate Alcove)
8-10 a.m. Individual legislator visits
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. University of Missouri Displays (3rd Floor Rotunda)
10 a.m. Rally for all Legislative Day attendees (First Floor Rotunda)
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Box lunches available – No charge for participant but advance registration is required (3rd Floor Rotunda)
1-3 p.m. Continued legislator visits
3 p.m. Day ends
Volunteers are to make appointments with legislators prior to Legislative Day; however, if you are unable to do so, drop-in visits are acceptable as well. A rally will be held at 10 a.m. for all University supporters to hear legislative leadership address the group. Gov. Blunt has been invited to speak. Each campus and Extension will have displays focusing on their significant programs; University supporters are encouraged to visit the displays sometime during the day.

There is no cost for the day’s activities, but if you wish to receive a box lunch, we must have your registration.
Representative Judy Baker to be honored: UM Alumni Alliance awardees, traditionally honored at Legislative Day, will be recognized at a banquet in Jefferson City on Tuesday, March 4, the evening prior to Legislative Day. MU’s honoree will be Representative Judy Baker of Columbia. Baker is an ardent supporter of the MU and MU Healthcare. Baker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies in 1981 and a Master of Health Administration from MU in 2002.
