Advocate for MU through the Mizzou Legislative Network.
What is the Mizzou Legislative Network?
The Network is a grassroots lobbying coalition of alumni and friends who share a dedication to higher education and Mizzou. Members contact government officials about issues and legislation related to Mizzou.
What is grassroots lobbying?
Grassroots lobbying is engaging everyday people in shaping public policy and influencing the political process. Grassroots lobbying goes to the source of support, and it is fundamental to the democratic process.
How is the Mizzou Legislative Network Governed?
The Mizzou Legislative Network is governed by an executive committee composed of volunteer alumni, students, faculty and staff. This governing board sets the goals for the Network and outlines the steps to accomplish them.
Why is it important to help?
Because of term limits, many new legislators may not be familiar with Mizzou's unique role in Missouri. Show your pride, and let them know of your support of Mizzou.
How do I receive Legislative Information?
You do not have to be familiar with politics. We will provide the information you need through the Mizzou Legislative Network website, e-mail updates and information specific to each campaign.
Does it cost anything to join the Mizzou Legislative Network?
No. All MAA members that reside in Missouri are automatically members of MLN.
